The Company
The Morning Star Company and its affiliates operate three tomato processing facilities in Central California, processing over 1/3 of the California processing tomato crop, in addition to tomato transplanting, farming, harvesting and trucking operations. The company employs over 500 year-round and approximately 4,000 seasonal Colleagues.
The Morning Star Company is the largest independent producer of bulk tomato ingredient products (tomato paste and diced tomatoes) in the world. We also produce canned tomatoes, tomato products and specialty sauces in pouches for customers in the retail and food service markets. The company is known worldwide for its innovation and integrity.

Mission: To ensure smooth and efficient flow of product and information within at the distribution area, allowing for high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and process all customer orders, truck and rail (load certificates, allocation, secondary labels, shipping documents, and electronic records)
- Inspect orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform physical inventory, production cycle counts, and customer specific contract reconciliation.
- Assign, track and troubleshoot electronic devices and equipment.
- Acquire, train, and orientate seasonal colleagues.
- Develop and maintain safety indices, monitor performance against the standards.
- Ensure a safe work environment: monitor areas and activities for compliance; correct non-compliance issues, document trainings.
- Coordinate the receiving of raw materials and non-product deliveries to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Investigate customer concerns; perform root cause analysis; prepare detailed reports.
Skills and Physical Requirements
- Personal accountability and integrity are paramount
- Customer Service experience
- Ability to solve issues quickly and prioritize tasks according to importance.
- Ability to lift to 50lbs.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality both indoors and outdoors for prolonged periods of time.
- Continuous Standing
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with different software
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Forklift experience is a plus
